The Cyberdemon is encountered in "The Shores of Hell", the second episode of *Doom*. After fighting through corrupted research facilities on Deimos, the marine faces this gigantic cybernetic demon. Following the battle, the marine discovers from an overlook that Deimos is floating above hell, and rappels down to the surface to begin the next episode, "Inferno".
